7Markha Valley – Stok KhangriI Trek
19 NIGHTS / 20 DAYS
DAY 01 DELHI/LEH
Ly Meet upon arrival at Leh airport and transfer to hotel. Day free for acclimatisation and individual activities.
Overnight Hotel.
DAY 02 LEH/HEMIS
Drive to Leh via Thiksey Gompa. Camp at Hemis near the monastery for overnight stay.
DAY 03 HEMIS/CHUGDO
Trek to Chugdo via Sumdo and Oza. A gradual walk of about 13 kms will be covered in about 6hrs.
Dinner overnight in Camps at Chugdo.
DAY 04 CHUGDO/NIMALING
Trek over Kongmor-La (5200 Mts.) to Nimaling. First four to five kms are descending and then an ascend right upto Nimaling. One feels fresh on reaching the top of Kongmor-La after viewing the beautiful range of mountain peaks and forgets the tiredness ascent.
DAY 05 IN NIMALING
Full day free to explore the surroundings .Dinner and overnight in tents near Kongmor-La base.
DAY 06 NIMALING/HANKAR
Trek to Hankar, a gradual trek of about 12 kms will be covered in about 7 hrs.
Dinner overnight in tents at Hankar.
DAY 07 HANKAR/MARKHA
Trek upto Markha via Omlung. A distance of about 12kms of gradual walk will be covered in about 6 hrs. Markha is main village at the height of about 4500 Mts. and has a school.
Dinner overnights in tents at Markha.
DAY 08 MARKHA/SKIU (3380 MTS.)
Trek to Skiu via Saser and Hermoger. An easy walk of about 15kms will be covered in about 6 hrs.
DAY 09 SKIU/RUMBAK OVER GANDA-LA
Trek towards Rumbak over Ganda-La (4930 Mts.). It is a ascending path upto Shingo.A distance of about 18 kms of gradual walk will be covered in about 8 hrs. Dinner overnight in tents.
DAY 10 RUMBAK/STOK LA BASE
Trek follows the beautiful gentle sloping valley and then a very steep ascend to Stok-la (4900 Mts.) descend to meet the river coming from the Stok Khangri massif. The total trek will be covered in about 5hrs and then trek to Mankarmo which is a shepherd village with 3 to 4 houses. The total distance will be covered in about 6 hrs.
Dinner overnight in tents at Stock la Base on the banks of Stock Nulla.
DAY 11 STOK-LA BASE/MANKARMO
Trek to Mankarmo via Chortan Chan. Mankarmo is a shepherd village with 3 to 4 houses. The gradual easy trek will be covered in about 3hrs Camp ahead of village on the banks of Stock Nulla (Stream).
Dinner overnight tents.
DAY 12 MANKARMO/LHARSI
Trek to Lharsi (4800 Mts.) via Yarlus. The first few kms are of gradual walk then the trial is ascending upto Lharsi. The total distance will be covered in about 4 hrs.
Dinner overnight at Lharsi in tents.
DAY 13 IN LHARSI
Trek upto the glacier of Khangri peak. Return back in the evening to Lharsi.
Dinner overnight at Lharsi in tents.
DAY 15 IN LHARSI
Explore the surroundings.
Dinner overnight tents.
DAY 16 LHARSI / MANKARMO/ZOORLUS
Trek down to Mankarmo. On reaching Mankarmo trek to Zoorlus after crossing the Stok Nulla. It is a gradual trek and will be covered in about 6hrs.Zoorlus polo is a green meadow in between the mountains.
Dinner overnight in tents.
DAY 17 ZOORLUS/MATHO/LEH
Trek down to Matho village a gradual walk of about 3hrs.After visiting Matho Gompa drive back to Leh via Choglamsar. On arrival in Leh check in the hotel. Afternoon free.

DAY 18 IN LEH
Full day free for individual activities.
Dinner overnight hotel.
DAY 19 IN LEH
Full day excursion to Alchi and Likir Gompas. Alchi is about 65 kms from Leh situated in the vicinity of Saspol on the left side of Leh-Srinagar road acrossIndusRiver. Alchi is very famous for its wall paintings. One must take a torch to see the paintings in dark rooms, as there is no light. Likir Gompa lies on the right side of Leh-Srinagar road about 4 kms from the main road and is famous for numerous Thankas.

DAY 20 LEH/DELHI
Transfer to airport to catch flight for Delhi.
After breakfast transfer to Srinagar airport to board flight for onward destination.
